Prof. Eran Hornstein, Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel
Eran Hornstein is Professor with the Department of Molecular Genetics at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel. Dr Hornstein obtained his MD/PhD at The Hebrew University, Hadassah Medical School, Jerusalem, Israel.
After a medical internship at the Hadassah Medical Center he moved to postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School with Cliff Tabin. Prof. Hornstein established his own program at the Weizmann Institute of Science in 2006. He recently received the Clore Award at the Weizmann Institute of Science, the Santa Foulkes Award and the Alon Award. Dr Hornstein is an Incumbent of the Helen and Milton Kimmelman Career Development Chair. His group primarily deals with the role of miRNA genes in development and human disease.
